A thief smashed his way into a Lancaster shop and stole £1,000 worth of razors.

Police have released CCTV of a man they are trying to trace after the theft at Wilkinsons on Penny Street.

The thief broke a glass panel at the side of the store at around 4am on Thursday, October 3.

Once inside he stole various packets of razors including Gillette Fusion, Wilkinson Sword and Quattro Titanium razors.

PC Phil Salliss said: “Although the CCTV isn’t the best quality, I would urge people to look at it closely and if anybody recognises or can identify the man in the images then I would urge them to contact police.

“I am also keen to speak with anyone who may have any information at all which they believe could assist our investigation.”

Anybody with any information can contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or on-line at Crimestoppers-uk.org.

No personal details are taken, information is not traced or recorded and you will not go to court.
