A man has admitted a string of offences relating to indecent images of children.

Nicola Polizzy, of Chaddock Street, Preston, admitted a charge of possessing 24 indecent images of children between July 2014 and May 2015 during his first appearance before Preston Magistrates’ Court.

Over the same period the 37-year-old defendant admits making - downloading - nine images of youngsters which are considered the most serious category in law, with a further 11 pictures at category B and four at category C.

Polizzy is now expected to appear before Preston Crown Court on July 19 to be sentenced.
