Jumpers faced their fears and took to the skies to perform a sky dive for St John’s Hospice.

48 people completed a sky dive in aid of St John’s, in Lancaster, raising more than £13,000.

Jumpers and their supporters were treated to blue skies and sunshine as they descended upon the Black Knights Parachute Centre in Cockerham on March 25.

Final funds from the sky dive are still being collected. All the money will go directly towards helping patients living with life shortening conditions in North Lancashire.

“We all had one goal and one challenge, and I felt so privileged to have been part of what can only be described as an amazing and awesome day,” said Catherine Butterworth, head of fundraising at St John’s.
