ANGRY patients at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary were left without water after a pipe burst.
The incident last Saturday affected the hot water supply to Medical Unit One, which contains inpatient wards one to five and the oncology, opthamology and day care surgery units.
Three operations had to be re-scheduled and patients were left unable to shower.
Len Smith, 67, was admitted to ward four on Saturday following a minor stroke.
Mr Smith, of Lymm Avenue, Scale Hall, said the water was cold and that even the cold water had dried up to a dribble by the following day. By Monday he said the cold water was only working intermittently.
