I have received a large number of letters and e-mails following the article in the Lancaster Guardian about A&E provision at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary.
Last week, I wrote to Jackie Daniel who is the chief executive of the trust. I explained that there are certain services which my constituents should have swift access to.
These include A&E services and maternity services.
I will continue to express this point to the trust both at meetings and in writing.
Recently I was pleased to welcome Health Minister Dan Poulter MP to the constituency, he was here to open the new same day minor injuries/minor illness service that has opened in Morecambe.
I was pleased to hear that the B4RN broadband project is now installed in Arkholme and about to go live, well done to all who are involved.
On Friday, I visited Our Lady of Lourdes Primary School in Carnforth. Thank you to the teachers, pupils and the pupil captain for making me so welcome.
I met with the school council to answer their questions and hear a little bit about how the school council works.
