Popular surgeries are right up my street

Thank you to everyone who made me so welcome in Carnforth on Saturday when I did my street surgery. My street surgeries are proving very popular so I’ll be doing more in 2014.

It’s an opportunity for you to come and speak to me on your doorstep or on your street. I was also able to take a look around some local businesses too such as the cycle museum in Carnforth. If you’ve never been I can strongly recommend it. It’s a hidden gem in Carnforth and well worth a visit.

I am always very interested to visit local businesses to have a look around and to learn a little bit about what you do. Please do contact my office if you’d like me to come and visit.

If you live in Silverdale or if you use the train service from Silverdale, please sign the petition that I and the parish council have drafted. The purpose of the petition is for more trains to stop at Silverdale to give commuters more opportunities to get to places like Manchester and to improve the service for tourists coming in to see the beautiful scenery Silverdale has to offer.

If you would like to sign the petition, please contact your local parish councillor for details. It is also available online by visiting my website.

Yesterday I thanked Health Minister Dr Dan Poulter in the House of Commons for visiting Morecambe and Lunesdale
and for opening the Same Day Centre in Morecambe.

My next farmers’ forum will take place in December, and top of the agenda will be the issue of Bovine TB. If you are a constituent and you would like to attend the forum, please contact your local NFU representative for further details.

On Friday December 6, I will be holding a drop-in advice surgery at Tesco in Carnforth. If you need my help or advice you can always contact my office on 01524 841225.

I produce a regular e newsletter that is delivered directly to your inbox. If you would like to join my mailing list please take a look at my website. If you want to write to me you can do so via www.davidmorrismp.co.uk or you can e-mail david.morris.mp@parliament.uk or write to Office 204 Riverway House, Morecambe Road, Skerton LA1 2RX.
