Fitness Formation column

Ryan Donohue.

Today, I want to briefly touch on something that has been a huge lesson for me over the last two years.

It can be related to weight loss, fitness, sport or anything in life. What I want to discuss, is fear. You reading this right now, I know you have a dream.

It is your dream, not mine, so it is irrelevant what it is.

What matters is, are you doing that right now?

Have you accomplished your dream, are you living your dream right now, are you on a clear path to succeeding in reaching said dream?

Or have you given up on this dream of yours, because ‘life’ happened?

The vast majority of society never even attempts to reach for their dreams and this is all down to fear.

Whatever you want to do in life, I can pretty much guarantee it has already been accomplished before, by normal people, just like you and I.

So what is different about these ‘successful’ people, who’ve lived or are living their dreams? One thing and one thing only. Action. That is it.

Seriously, all you need to do, is take that first step and never look back. It may seem cliched or ‘cheesy’, but I strongly do believe, you can achieve whatever it is you want to do in life.

Most people fear failure. If they try and they don’t succeed, they are (in their eyes) a ‘failure’.

Whatever your goals and ambitions are in life that you have put to the back of your mind, I challenge you this week to go out and make that all important first step.

You want to be in the best shape of your life? Go seek out professional guidance and work hard, day after day.

You want to set up your own business?

Hit the internet and go seek advice on what would be your first move.

What I am trying to say, is do not fear failure.

If you want it, as bad as I know you do, you can achieve it.

One day at a time. Bring your dream back alive and do not stop until you achieve it.
