One of Hollywood‘s top film producers is heading to Lancaster to show young film makers how to make a big hit movie on a low budget.
Carlos Gallardo, who produced the cult action movie El Mariachi in 1992 for $7,000, has linked up with Lancaster filmmakers Intense Productions for a series of one day movie masterclasses in five UK cities, including Lancaster, focusing on How to Make a Micro Budget Film & Sell It.
El Mariachi launched the Hollywood careers of both Gallardo and his long-time friend, director, Robert Rodriguez.
The event, which will cover topics including screen writing, raising finance, casting, production, sales and distribution, is being held at the Gregson Centre on April 30 between 9.30am to 5.30pm. Tickets from £79. To book email firstname.lastname@example.org.
