FIRST launched 14 years ago, the Lunesdale Arts Trail has become a popular fixture in the northern arts diary.
And it’s for good reason, because the trail showcases the works of a group of disparate local artists all united in the aim of promoting their creations, and, at the same time, giving visitors the chance to see them actually at work.
One of the artists, Bob Armitage, said: “We hope we will be able to offer visitors inspiration and enjoyment through their direct contact with us.
“Anyone joining the trail will get the chance to see so many different works and artists, using all sorts of differing mediums.”
The group first got together through their shared interest in the arts.
But it quickly became apparent they needed a wider audience and so the idea of a trail was born.
