A CLOSE-UP magician, fire artist, glass walker, singer and comedian are all on the menu at the Dalton Rooms on Saturday night, for the venue’s second Mirror Ball Cabaret Show.
The show aims to reintroduce the lost art of cabaret and live entertainment, which was well patronised in the UK during the height of the music hall era, and begins with a two-course meal.
Grant Stringer, owner of the Dalton Rooms, in Dalton Square, said: “The Dalton Rooms lends itself beautifully to this type of evening, having been recently stylishly reappointed.
“Some material will be nostalgia, some retro, some modern.
“It’s a place where people can enjoy a chat and witness an evening of spectacle, including singers, comedians, fire eaters, fire breathers, magicians, and a hint of burlesque; a place where men and women will feel comfortable and enjoy getting dressed up.
“The aim is to celebrate, and very much to tease with good, old fashioned seaside postcard humour.
“Certainly you will experience a great evening of fun.”
