A MOTORCYCLIST has died following a collision with a car in Pilling on Sunday March 4.
POLICE are appealing for witnesses to come forward following the incident which happened shortly before 12.45pm at the junction of Lancaster Road and Gulf Lane.
It is believed the Suzuki motorcycle was travelling along Lancaster Road, towards the town, when it collided with a VW Passat turning into Gulf Lane.
The motorcyclist was thrown from his bike and sustained fatal injuries.
He was later named as Carl Green, 47, from Thornton Cleveleys.
Mr Green’s daughter, Christine Green, said: “He died doing what he loved best. A big thank you for all the people who helped him at the scene. He was a character that will never be forgotten. Rest in peace, Love you Dad.”
Sgt Jon Allwright, of the force’s Road Policing Unit, said: “Our thoughts are with the families of the motorcyclist and the others involved. We are asking for anyone who may have seen the accident and who didn’t stop at the scene to contact the police.”
