MORECAMBE & Lunesdale MP David Morris has remained tight-lipped about a story published in a national newspaper on Saturday.
The story, concerning his private life, was published in the Daily Mirror.
Having taken legal advice, the Lancaster Guardian has decided not to publish any details of the Mirror story.
Mr Morris referred all enquiries to his solicitor, Donal Blaney of Kent-based Griffin Law.
Asked to comment, Mr Blaney said he would take instructions from his client.
It is not known whether Mr Morris will begin a libel action.
The Press Complaints Commission said the MP had not asked it to investigate whether his privacy had been breached.
