More than 70 gins will be available to sample including artisan, rare and overseas gins grouped together in gin stations themed by taste, country or region of origin, or the botanicals which provide individual gins with their unique taste.

The creators of Lancs Ginfest, Paul Bury and Judy Edmondson, who own Aspect Bar and Bistro on Marine Road, are both keen gin drinkers. When opening their new outdoor terrace and function suite, Aspect 320, in April last year, they incorporated a champagne and gin bar serving only award-winning gins.

Visitors can buy ‘Tipple Tokens’ for £20, which allows the sampling of four different gins and tonics, they can also extend their knowledge of gin by listening to masterclasses.Entrance to the event costs £8.50. Tickets are available from The Lothersdale Hotel and Aspect Bar for a weekend pass on 01524 416404 or www.lancsginfest.com.

Organiser Judy Edmondson said: “We plan to make Lancs Ginfest a highlight of Lancashire’s tourism calendar, as an annual event that lifts the spirits and brings extra and unexpected revenue to Morecambe.”
