A budding beauty queen has won a pageant title in a global competition.

Anisa Leli, 20, of Morecambe, was crowned Miss North West England Face of the Globe 2013.

Anisa, who works at PC World in Lancaster and is currently studying law with the Open University, competed with 35 other finalists to be crowned Miss Congeniality.

She said: “I don’t think it has sunk in yet, I didn’t tell anyone because the first competition I entered I didn’t win anything. It took my confidence a bit.

“There was some explaining to do to my family but they were really happy for me.

“My trip to Disneyland Paris to compete in the finals is all paid for. The finals are from October 24 to 27. I am nervous about it now.

“The Bridal Collection in Lancaster have been really helpful, they have helped me choose my three gowns. I have my pink dress forthe first round, then evening wear which can be any colour, then my princess ball gown, which is pink, my favourite colour.

“I love Disney movies as well. I’ve had quite a few compliments and people have said I have a real chance of winning the title of Face of the Globe.

“Even if I don’t win, I’ve still had the experience of taking part and the title of Miss North West. I’m just happy I won something!

“My family will be there with me this time and I’ve never been to Paris so I’m lookingforward to it.”

Face Of The Globe was founded in 2012 by winner of ‘Best Pageant Director’ Lucie Hide, a former international beauty queen from England.

Face Of The Globe is open to girls aged five upwards covering four age divisions, with the annual grand finals held in London and Disneyland Paris.
