A new cafe has opened at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary.

Following the success of a similar café in the main entrance at Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) – which came from an initiative called ‘Projects Kendal, Barrow and Lancaster’ launched by the Trust in June 2012 - the new café will open for business at the entrance to the Centenary Building.

The project has enabled staff, governors, GPs, and members of the public to come up with suggestions as to how the Trust could make immediate improvements to their local hospital, which in turn would improve the experience of patients.

Juliet Walters, the Chief Operating Officer for the Trust said: “We are really pleased to be unveiling our new café area.”
