Man arrested on Lancaster canal tow path had drugs hidden in his anus

A suspected drug dealer stopped on the canal tow path in Lancaster by police had drugs in his anus. Francis Hackett, 53, Regent Park Avenue, Morecambe, was arrested on July 15 and found to have a large quantity of heroin. He pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply Class A drugs at Preston Magistrates Court and will be sentenced on August 19.

Francis Hackett, 53, Regent Park Avenue, Morecambe, was arrested on July 15 and found to have a large quantity of heroin. He pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply Class A drugs at Preston Magistrates Court and was given conditional bail.

He will be sentenced on August 19 at Preston Crown Court.
