Jon Richardson returns to Morecambe Winter Gardens for Lancaster hospice

Funny man Jon Richardson is returning to Morecambe for a night of laughs in aid of Lancaster St John's Hospice.

The comedian, originally from Lancaster, will return for the third time at the Winter Gardens to support the Slyne Road Hospice, who are celebrating their 30th year anniversary this year.

Jon who is known for his appearances on 8 Out 10 Cats will be joined by comedians, Romesh Ranganathan, who recently toured at the Lancaster Grand Theatre and Matt Forde.

Jon’s first gig was in 2003 and in 2006 he completed a 60 date tour with Alan Carr. He won the ‘Best Breakthrough Act’ in 2007 and his Edinburgh fringe show ‘Spatula Pad,’ about his obsessive compulsive personality disorder, was nominated for the ‘Best Newcomer award’ at the Edinburgh Festival.

Apart from his stand-up tours Jon is also well known for his TV appearances on Channel 4 and BBC1’s Have I Got News For You and Live At The Apollo.

Tickets are now available to purchase for the gig on Sunday July 17 at 3pm and 8pm. All proceeds go to the hospice and the Morecambe Winter Gardens.

The event is sponsored by the University of Cumbria. More acts are to be announced.
