Teddy bears, snakes, stingray, octupus, crabs, clown fish and plain and simple kites soared above the beach to the delight of families, children and adults for the two-day festival organised by More Music Morecambe.

Professional kite flyers spread out over Morecambe beach to show off their skills and array of colours from the different types of kites on offer.

The festival has become a highlight for the resort over the past eleven years and is centred around an outdoor music stage in front of The Platform.

There was also live music, street entertainment, children’s workshops, Astral circus and the funfair.

The event attracted thousands of people to the promenade in Morecambe, with the sunny weather adding to everyone’s enjoyment on the day.
