A renowned hairdresser has marked 30 years in business by organising a spectacular ball and raising £5,900 for two local charities in the process.

Stephen James Hair Salon in Morecambe has long been one of the ultimate destinations for local women wanting the VIP treatment for their tresses.

Having reached this landmark anniversary, owners Stephen and Dawn Warburton decided to give something back to their loyal clientele who have supported them over the years by hosting the event.

It was also an opportunity for the couple to support two local charities close to their hearts, Rosemere Cancer Foundation, which supports cancer patients and their families throughout Lancashire and the South Lakes and St John’s Hospice based in Lancaster.

The evening was held at The Globe Arena with 210 guests attending.

Co-owner Stephen said: “It was a wonderful evening and a great way to pay tribute to the staff and clients that have helped us enjoy such an incredible 30 years.”
