Garstang teenager Adam Phillips made his first team debut for Liverpool FC in their pre-season friendly match against Brondby in Denmark last night.
The 16-year-old, who has also played for England Under 16s, played the second half of the game, which saw Brondby win 2-1 thanks to a 91st minute winner.
Phillips joined the Liverpool Academy at the age of 11 after three years with Blackburn Rovers.
He has since signed a two-year scholarship with Liverpool FC Under 18s.
Phillips could also feature on Saturday when Liverpool travel to Preston North End for their second pre-season game.
He has also been named in a 33-man squad which travels to the USA for a short tour before the start of the new Premier League season.
