A father-of-three tragically killed in a cycling accident saved the lives of five people after his organs were donated.
Andrew Jarrod Charlton, 43, whose family bought Hornby Post Office, died after a collision with a car in Tynedale on August 9.
Only 10 weeks before, Andrew and his wife Katy were celebrating the birth of their identical twins Eleanor and Chloe.
Andrew and his parents, Andrea and Peter, and sister, Amanda, moved to the Lune Valley from Heysham when he was 13.
In the late 90s and early 2000s, Andy was a key figure in the progressive house dance music scene.
As Andy Jarrod he gigged with Welsh DJ and record producer Sasha. He married in 2011 and lived in North Shields with his wife, Katy, and their two-and-a-half-year-old son Oscar, who has cystic fibrosis.
Katy said: “Andy was loved so very much, he was a wonderful father to our son Oscar and identical twin girls Eleanor and Chloe.”
“Being on the donor register was especially important to Andy because many people with cystic fibrosis require lung transplants later in life.”
