Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a Morecambe motorcyclist sustained a serious arm injury following a collision with a car that failed to stop in Lancaster.
The collision took place around 4.30pm on Monday January 13 when the motorcyclist was travelling down Back Caton Road near to Dana Hand Car Wash in the direction of Greyhound Bridge.
The car that was turning left towards Lancaster failed to stop and police are urging witnesses to come forward.
PC John Stephenson from Morecambe Road Policing said: “This collision happened at a busy junction coming up to rush hour and the motorcyclist was filtering down traffic when the collision took place so I am confident someone would have witnessed it.
“The car involved is described as a silver Rover or Honda Civic and it is possible that the driver did not realise what had happened or that the motorcyclist had been seriously injured.
“I would urge the driver to come forward so we can establish exactly what happened. It is also possible that the car could have some rear nearside damage.
“Anyone with any information should contact Lancashire Police on 101.”
