A Lancaster businessman and Crohn’s sufferer set off this week to cycle the length of the country in aid of charity.
Chris Welsby, who lives in Dale Street and runs a quantity surveyors firm, is cycling from John O’Groats to Lands End.
Setting off today, Thursday, he aims to take 10 days to cover the 880 miles, stopping at Tain, Fort William, Dumbarton, Ecclefechan, Lancaster, Wem, Frampton on Seven, Tiverton and Bodmin.
Before he sets off, Chris undertook a training ride from Morcambe to Bridlington.
Chris will be raising money in support of Crohn’s and Colitis research – www.justgiving.com/Chris-Welsby – and Unique Kidz, which helps families with diabled children – www.justgiving.com/Chris-Welsby1.
