Battle of the lobsters at London Marathon

The claws were out as Simon Couchman was beaten by another running lobster in his attempt to break the world record for the fastest running lobster at the marathon.

Simon completed the marathon in three hours, 23 minutes and 56 seconds, he raised £850 for the National Eczema Society.

He said: “I am gutted I couldn’t bring home the goods but the outfit slowed me too much, even though it looked super cool and I had three hours of none stop chanting ‘Bob, Bob, Bob!

“I would like to thank everyone for all the support and donations for such a great cause. There’s always the next marathon even though I promised myself I was done with marathons!”
