The villagers of Wray are back with a display of weird, wacky and wonderful scarecrow creations to entertain visitors.
Each year visitors can wander around Wray, discovering the host of scarecrows (all themed in annual topical themes) that have popped up in village gardens, and can be found peeking out of windows and perching on balconies.
The Scarecrow Festival included more than a week’s worth of activities from races and rallies to a market and a fair.
This year’s festival runs until Wray Fair on Monday, May 5.
Tonight, Thursday, there’s a Classic Bike Night at the Tearooms from 7pm – 9pm, while tomorrow, Friday, is a Giant Scarecrow Parade from 7pm.
On Sunday a Vintage Market and Classic Vehicle Show takes place from 10am, and then on Monday is Wray Fair and Fell Race.
The Wray Fair takes place in Wray Village school field. Signs will guide visitors from the main road to various parking locations around the village and volunteer stewards will guide to the field.
The fair will feature craft stalls, food and drink stands and a number of fun attractions and activities for adults and children.
