House-buyers in Lancaster now have the chance to buld their own home, with the introduction of a custom build scheme in the city.

Custom Build company Plot is releasing the first building plots for sale at their new canalside scheme.

Plot has been working with joint venture developer H2O Urban LLP (owned 50 per cent by private developer bloc and 50 per cent by the Canal and River Trust).

The scheme, to be known as Aldcliffe Yard, will deliver 14 high quality waterside family homes - seven new build mews/semi-detached houses, six refurbished houses in the existing listed buildings and one new build detached house.

Aldcliffe Yard is located off Aldcliffe Road, accessed by bridge over the canal and is on the waterside within a conservation area.

Richard Thomas, director of Plot, explains: “The team have worked hard to bring forward this unique opportunity for the people of Lancaster to build their own home.

“The site is in an outstanding waterside location just five minutes walk from the city centre and we look forward to taking these building plots to the market.”

Plot are launching the scheme on October 10 at an event on site, running from 2pm until 6pm.

Prices for plots will start at £110,000.
