A LANCASTER dancer performed live on national TV on Saturday night in the first broadcast of So You Think You Can Dance.

Alice Woodhouse, 23, from Owen Road, danced with two other contenders for the title of “Britain’s best dancer” to Gnarls Barkley’s number 1 hit Crazy.

Prior to the routine, which introduced each dancer’s individual style, Alice was featured in a short montage, where she was filmed dancing at the Ashton Memorial.

She described how she was from a showbiz family, her great-grandfather being a popular jazz singer, and the montage also featured Alice’s grandmother tap dancing at the Stonewell Tavern in Lancaster.
