Man found in 4x4 died of natural causes

A MAN died at the wheel of his car near Bare Lane station railway crossing sparking a police investigation.

Police later confirmed that Gavin Bryan, 36, died of natural causes.

A passing couple found Mr Bryan slumped across the front seats of his silver Vauxhall Frontera at around 1.20pm on Friday.

The vehicle was parked on a grassy verge on South Road near the junction with Bare Lane and appeared to have been in a minor collision with a tree.

South Road was sealed off during Friday afternoon whilst a forensic team carried out an investigation.

Mr Bryan, a former pupil at Morecambe High School and Lancaster Road Primary School, was known to friends as “Frogger” or “Toad”.
