HMV has collapsed into administration with the possible loss of 4,350 jobs

JOBS at HMV are under threat after the entertainment chain collapsed into administration.

The chain, which has a store in Lancaster, will appoint the accountancy firm Deloitte as administrator.

HMV has suspended trading in its shares but said the administrators would continue to trade the stores while they seek a purchaser for the business.

HMV employs 4,350 staff and has been on the high street for 92 years.
