Cyclist dies after lorry crash

A CYCLIST from Lancaster who was hit by a HGV on Thursday afternoon has died in hospital.

Carl Stuart Blamire, 24, was taken to the Royal Lancaster Infirmary with serious head injuries after he collided with the lorry in Morecambe Road at 2.45pm.

He died from his injuries at 3pm on Friday.

Police are still appealing for witnesses to come forward, and anyone with information should call Lancaster police on 01524 63333, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
