An accident in Lancaster this morning, Monday, caused severe tailbacks during rush hour.

A lorry and car collided on Skerton Bridge in Owen Road at 7.30am, causing delays until the road was cleared shortly before 9am.

The Vauxhall Tigra involved in the collision needed a new tyre, and the road was down to one lane until this was carried out.
