A family from the Lancaster district celebrated the birth of its fifth generation this month.

Lucia Jade Marsden was born at 3.01am at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary weighing 7lb 8oz on Friday March 8, just in time for Mother’s Day.

Proud parents Holly Barker and Josh Marsden live in Heysham and grandparents Wayne and Colette Barker, and great-grandma Margaret Levens (Wayne’s mum) live on Abraham Heights in Lancaster.

“Great-great nana”, Ada Bleasdale, 88, who is Margaret’s mum, formerly of Westbourne Road, Lancaster, is now a resident at Hillcroft Nursing Home in Caton.

All five generations have been the first baby born in each family.

All Josh’s family members all live in Morecambe.
