Knifeman gets five years for attack on pub-goers
Scott Wilson, Heysham rd, Heysham, jailed for five years for wounding with intent.
A FORMER care home worker who launched a knife attack, injuring three people, has been jailed for five years.
Scott Wilson, 31, of Heysham Road, Heysham, was “extremely drunk” when he approached Darren Malkin in the Bradford Arms pub, Lines Street, Morecambe, on Mother’s Day – April 3 – last year.
Preston Crown Court heard Wilson asked Mr Malkin “Do you know who I am?”, before punching him in the face.
Wilson was on top of Mr Malkin on the floor when Mr Malkin noticed Wilson had a craft knife clenched in his fist.
Mr Malkin managed to push his attacker off but noticed his right forearm was bleeding.
During the struggle, he had received a knife wound to his arm, which needed plastic surgery. Another man, Karl Jackson, who saw the struggle, stepped in to try and break the men up.
