Have your say

Join the world’s biggest wildlife survey alongside local volunteers who are participating in the RSPB Big Garden Bird Watch 2014 in Williamson Park.

All you have to do is observe the birds in the park for an hour and the results will be fed back to the RSPB. You can make a real difference to the knowledge of garden birds and help to find out which are doing well and which need help.

The event takes place on Sunday, January 26 with activities for all the family to enjoy. If you would like to join in, meet the volunteers at 8am in the Wyresdale Road car park; the official count takes place from 8.30am-9.30am at various stations around the park. Everyone will meet up at the café afterwards to compare findings.

The RSPB will have an information stall by the lake and guided walks around the park. There will also be fun and games for children in the Education Room at the Butterfly House, 10.30am and 2pm.
