I’m A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! returned to our TVs this week.
And as audiences are gripped by another series, one of the region’s top attractions plans to mark it in a very original way.
Greenlands Farm Village, at Tewitfield, near Carnforth, is serving up a few ‘treats’ of its own this weekend.
It’s running bush tucker trials for brave fans of the ITV reality show to try when they visit this weekend.
Between 10am and 5pm on Saturday and Sunday, customers will be able to search for stars among locusts, worms, maggots, hissing cockroaches and slime.
And, for the more daring, there will be eating challenges with ducks’ tongues, hens’ feet, real insects, sheep testicles and other delicacies on the menu in the farm’s African and Chinese food stores.
People of any age can get involved and the trials will be timed with winners named on both days.
Normal admission prices will apply throughout the weekend.
Located off the A6070, Greenlands Farm Village is an open farm with a farm shop, garden centre and café.
