A technology driven duo will visit the resort as part of their B-Side The Seaside tour.
Hugs Bison are touring seaside resorts for their show which adapts visuals from the towns into their performances.
B-side The Seaside is a series of immersive audio-visual performances by Hugs Bison taking place and rooted in the memories of some of the best-known seaside resorts.
The band will be ‘remixing’ Morecambe in a live improvised audio/visual show.
During the Out and About day in Morecambe on July 10 the duo will be filming and recording the sights and sounds, ready for the performance the following evening.
They will then perform on July 11 at The Hothouse on Devonshire Road. Doors will open at 7.30pm and tickets are £5 on the door, support comes from Maja Bugge and Quakers Stang.
Shaun Blezard of Hugs Bison said: “We both grew up with regular visits to the seaside as kids and have strong memories of holidays on the beach, going to the fair, eating fish and chips.
“Many resorts are not doing as well as they used to and we wanted to search for that seaside of our childhood.
“It would be lovely if the local population would join us on this journey.”
The tour is supported by Sound and Music, the national charity for new music and sound art.
It is in partnership with More Music, Must Die Records, Spirit of Gravity, Tom Thumb Theatre and Train of Thought Emporium. Find out more visit www.hugsbison.com/b-side-the-seaside/#b-side-the-seaside-1.
