The Lancaster Guardian has teamed up with Furness Building Society and The Bay radio station to find the Charity Stars of 2014 in this year’s unique talent competition.
Charity Stars challenges supporters to perform on behalf of their good cause with the chance of winning a share of more than £3,000 in prizes. The ultimate winner will also get their taste of fame by becoming a ‘Star for a Day at the Bay’ and recording their own video and music session.
To enter the competition Lancaster Guardian talented readers need to simply record their own audition video on a mobile phone, tablet, digital camera or computer, then visit www.thebay.co.uk and follow the link to the ‘Charity Stars’ page where they can upload their video. Twelve acts will be selected by a panel of judges to appear in the live final at the Lancaster Grand Theatre on February 21 2015. Another two will be selected as wild card entries by The Bay audience to appear in the final. Every charity represented by a finalist will receive at least £100, and the winner will receive £1,000, with prizes of £750 and £500 for the charities represented by the runners-up.
