IT’S full steam ahead in Chipping this weekend as the annual vintage vehicle show rolls into the village.

IT’S full steam ahead in Chipping this weekend as the annual vintage vehicle show rolls into the village.

Chipping Steam Fair takes places from Saturday to Monday with dozens of vintage cars, tractors and even a replica spitfire set to make an appearance at the annual event.

The fair has been growing in popularity since it started in 1998 to raise funds for the village hall.

The steam fair now attracts upwards of 10,000 visitors and 450 exhibits.

The fair will be open from 10am to 5pm on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

It is located at the Green Lane Showground, three quarters of a mile outside Chipping on the Clitheroe Road.

Admission is £8 for adults and £6 for children and OAPs.

Children under 12 are free.

A spokesman for the Chipping Steam Fair said; “The fair has become a firm fixture in the calandar of many enthusiasts.

“We look forward again to the weekend in eager anticipation we hope that you are able to join us in what we are sure will be a great show.

“Each show promises a number of new attractions to make the Chipping Steam Fair one of the North Wests premier attractions.”
