Seven-year-old Sammy Sutcliffe is about to complete an enormous cycling challenge that will help other children get their smiles back.

Sammy, from Caton is close to covering 700 miles in one academic year to raise money for Smile Train, the world’s largest cleft charity.

Emma Sutcliffe, Sammy’s mum, said: “We decided to set Sammy a goal of 500 miles over the academic school year starting September 2013 as a challenge with an incentive of a new bike if he completed it.
