Help out other people by volunteering at CancerCare

Latest news.

Latest news.

CancerCare are currently recruiting new volunteers to help cover their busy reception areas based at their Lancaster and Kendal centres.

If you enjoy meeting new people and can spare a couple of hours to help each week then why not consider joining the CancerCare team?

Applicants must have a friendly, approachable and professional manner. No experience is necessary and full training and ongoing support will be provided.

Volunteering with CancerCare is a great way to make new friends, gain new experiences and give something back to the local community.

CancerCare is a unique local charity that supports local people whose lives are affected by cancer, their families and carers and those bereaved by cancer.

CancerCare provides a place to talk, therapies to help people manage the physical effects of cancer treatment and professional support to deal with anxiety and emotional distress.

For further details contact Andrea Partridge, volunteer coordinator on 01524 381820 or email Andrea.Partridge@cancercare.org.uk.
