Store managers from all 29 Booths stores across the North West including Carnforth, Lancaster and Torrisholme, will be lacing up their walking boots and embracing the great outdoors in recognition of National Countryside Week July 14-20.
Booths staff, shoppers and members of the local community will be coming together to take a short stroll as part of the Prince’s Countryside Fund’s “Walk a Country Mile” campaign, to raise awareness of the importance of the countryside to the UK during National Countryside Week.
Edwin Booth, Chairman of Booths, said: ““There’s no cost to join a Booths walk, just the pledge of your time, and a donation should you wish to make one.
“If you are able to join us, simply call into your chosen store and sign up to attend a walk.”
People taking part in the campaign are asked to take a #WALKIE — its the countryside version of a “selfie”.
