University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust has become the latest NHS organisation to become UKAS accredited under the Royal College of Physicians’ (RCP) Improving Quality in Physiological diagnostic Services (IQIPS) programme.
Accreditation has been granted by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) for the audiology services across all our hospitals for the work with both adult and paediatric patients.
Samantha Riding, Clinical Service Manager for Audiology at the Trust, said: “I am delighted that our Audiology service is the latest NHS organisation to be granted accreditation by UKAS against the IQIPS standards.
“The accreditation will demonstrate to patients and commissioners that we provide a quality service, which is extremely important now that patients can choose their NHS hearing aid provider.”
Jackie Daniel, Chief Executive of the Trust, said: “I would like to congratulate each of the team for their hard work.”
