A new class has started in Lancaster for the over 55s to exercise their brain.

The brain gym, run by well known retired yoga teacher Grace Benson, is a form of physical exercise that makes the brain more effective and expands the neural pathways (the brain connections).

Brain Gym can be practiced standing or seated, it encourages joint mobility, balance, improves thinking and functioning of the brain, and basically keeps the brain agile and the body responsive.

If your memory is poor and you tend to drop things or would like to feel mentally brighter go along on a Wednesday at 10am to the Friendship Centre in Nelson Street just behind Lancaster’s Town Hall.

The class is £2 and it’s £1 for coffee.
