Hargreaves – Higgins

MR George William Hargreaves, elder son of Mr and Mrs C J Hargreaves of Middleton Sands, and Miss Diane Christine Higgins, elder daughter of Mr and Mrs H Higgins of Holywood, Northern Ireland, were married at St Helen's Church, Overton.

The bridegroom is a reproductive management technician for Genus Breeding and the bride is a biology teacher at Lancaster Royal Grammar School.

Given away by her father, the bride wore a Maers Ghyll, Alan Hannah thai silk A line strapless gown with pearl embroidery and a cathedral length train. She carried a bouquet of green and cream roses and ivy.

Bridesmaids were Nichola Higgins (bride's sister), Lucy Hargreaves (groom's sister), Liz Bradshaw and Andi Jackson.

They wore empire line, mint green silk dresses and carried bouquets of mixed roses. Best men were Mr Sam Hargreaves (groom's brother) and Messrs Alan McDade, Pat Riley and Stephen Higgins were groomsmen.

Reception: Lancaster House Hotel for 200 guests. Honeymoon: Hilton Hotel, St Julian's, Malta.

Future Home: Quernmore.
