Hardeep puts curry to the test at a champion restaurant

TV Comic and Celebrity Masterchef finalist Hardeep Singh Kohli visited a Lancaster restaurant recently after a vote crowned it the best in the city.
The comedian stopped off at Moghuls in King Street before presenting his new show – Indian Takeaway – at the city’s Dukes Theatre.
Moghuls had been chosen by audience members to produce a curry to compete with one Hardeep cooked on set during his sell-out show.
The takeaway was duly delivered to the Moor Lane theatre and then lucky audience members were asked to ‘blind’ taste the two.
Darakshan Patel, owner of Moghuls, in King Street, said: “He was quite funny.
“He’s got a very blunt sense of humour which is bordering on offensive, but he was great fun.
“He rang up about 8.15pm and ordered a Lamb Bhuna, and we threw in a chocolate naan as well and delivered it to the theatre at around 9.15pm.
“The Dukes set it up, and advertised for people to vote for their best Indian Takeaway in Lancaster.
“I used Twitter and Facebook to plug it as much as possible.
“It was a great, fun experience.”
