Families from across Lunesdale have been invited to get into the festive spirit at a Christmas Fair.
The Lunesdale committee of North West Cancer Research (NWCR) will hold a Christmas Fair at the Institute, Kirkby Lonsdale on Saturday, November 9.
The event will begin at 10am and include Christmas gifts and cards, cakes, a nearly new sale, tombola, toys and books, as well as a jewellery stall and a small raffle.
The annual event has raised hundreds of pounds to help support ongoing important research into cancer being carried out at Lancaster, Liverpool and Bangor universities.
Anne Jackson, Chief Executive of NWCR, said: “All of our 30 committees throughout the North West do fantastic work raising much-need funds to enable vital research into the causes of one of the UK’s biggest diseases.
“Residents from Kirkby Lonsdale and beyond will be able to get into the Christmas with lots of festive funs at the fair and maybe even pick up a gift or two for their loved ones whilst they’re there.”
Entrance to the Christmas Fair costs just £1.50 and includes tea or coffee and a mince pie. All proceeds from the event will go to NWCR.
