Lancaster City great Neil Marshall passed away on Wednesday after a battle with cancer aged just 31.

Below are a selection of tributes including some from current and former team mates, managers past and present and fans.

Marshall represented his hometown club for more than 10 years, the long-serving captain making 400 plus appearances at the heart of the defence.

He is survived by wife Kim and children Max and Daisy.
