A Lancashire business through and through, Barton Grange Garden Centre loves to promote the great food and drink produced in Lancashire and the wider region.

This year its Food and Drink Festival returns for a third year and promises to be a mouth-watering celebration of the best the north west has to offer.

On Saturday 31st August and Sunday 1st September, food and drink producers from around the region will be setting up stall at Barton Grange Garden Centre, to tempt, treat and tantalise festival visitors. With tastings, demos, samples and even workshops for the children, there will be something for all ages and all tastes.

Whether you have a sweet tooth or you’re a stickler for something savoury, the festival will offer plenty to tickle your taste buds. There will be cheeses, breads, pies, chutneys, potato crisps, jams, cakes, desserts, yoghurts and ice-cream, all from Lancashire producers. The Port of Lancaster Smokehouse will have an impressive stall packed with fish, meat and cheese.

Drinks being showcased include beers from Bowland Brewery, those famous Mr Fitzpatrick’s cordials and lots of wines from different importers into the county.

You’ll also find a great selection of olives, antipasto, dips and Indian foods, either produced in the county or imported by local companies. There is such a diverse range of food in the region and you will find so much of it at this event.

And if that wasn’t enough, there will be workshops and demos taking place throughout the weekend.

On Saturday, children can get involved in cupcake and biscuit decorating and then make their own pizzas in the afternoon. Sunday offers a demo by Honeywells butchers plus ‘Cooking with Sanah’, showing you how to create delicious Indian foods like samosas and salsas. There will also be wine talks and tastings in the afternoon.

If you love your food and drink, this is definitely an event not to be missed. For details of all exhibitors and times of workshops and demos, please see the website at www.bartongrange.co.uk.
