The Lancaster Guardian’s personal training expert Ryan Donohue is delighted that his company – Fitness Formation – is able to support our Save our Hospice campaign.

Ryan’s clients are also excited to be able to support St John’s Hospice in Lancaster through the many fundraising activities they have planned for 2014.

Ryan said: “I have many clients, friends and family who have in one way or another been connected with St John’s Hospice and I think it is an absolutely incredible place. The staff, the volunteers, everything about the hospice is beautiful.

“As for why I’m supporting it, that’s really simple – what the hospice provides and the impact it has on people lives is amazing. I will personally do everything I can to help support it so it can continue providing its service.

“We are a personal training studio with a lot of like-minded, supportive people who collectively bring together an amazing community.

“In order to raise money for the hospice we are going to be doing many events together as a big team.

Obstacles courses, marathons, bike rides, you name it and we have it planned. We aim to bring the local community together in order to exercise as a way of raising money.

Our clients at Fitness Formation support this cause one hundred per cent and are more than happy to help raise money through all our different events next year.

Many have very close stories to their hearts from loved ones who have been directly helped and supported by the hospice.

“We aim to raise between £50,000 and £100,000 in 12 months. Other people are welcome to join in.”
