FIREFIGHTERS were called to three blazes in an hour in Morecambe.
Piles of rubbish were torched along the promenade into the town centre on Monday night.
The first blaze started around the Gala Bingo premises at around 10.30pm.
The final two fires, close to the town centre, started at 11.20pm, one outside Oasis and the other outside Tesco on Market Street.
In addition, a bonfire was deliberately started near the River Lune close to the cycle race track at Salt Ayre at around 12.40am yesterday.
A spokesman said: “These fires are a nuisance and tie us up.”
